
This class will offer a practical approach to the ideas and practices of modern correctional systems. The history of corrections as well as future trends will be highlighted in the areas of jail and prison systems.
Students who complete the sequence of writing courses will demonstrate a college level knowledge of standard English grammar.

Upon completion, the students’ knowledge in sociological area should be increased with the understanding how one can use that information to make analysis and decisions that may improve their work performance and personal life. Students’ performance will also be assessed by observing the effective use of knowledge of concepts in solving presented and discussed problems.
